Surf Synergy, an all-inclusive surf and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) resort in Costa Rica, will open a 26-person villa on May 1, more than doubling its capacity.

The addition is part of an overhaul and expansion of the rooms and amenities at the property on Costa Rica's Central Pacific Coast since opening in 2022 on the site of a former surf camp.

Casa Del Cielo, an 11,000-square-foot solar-powered villa, will have six bedrooms, each with private balconies, that can be combined; two bunkrooms; a living room; indoor and outdoor kitchens and dining areas; an infinity pool; a hot tub and a game room with a 75-inch television, bar and table games. The villa will be available individually or for group buyouts.

Based in Jaco, less than two hours from San Jose airport, Surf Synergy offers immersive seven-day packages that include one-on-one surfing or SUP instruction, yoga, massage and other wellness classes, including breath work. Three family-style meals, one local excursion and airport transportation are also included.

The redevelopment plan includes a new Skate Surf Park with specially designed skateboards that track like surfboards that is scheduled to open this summer and a wellness center with programs designed for recovery from surfing, such as ice bath, sauna and massage.

Sustainability Initiatives include adding a bio-composter for all fuel and a regenerative agriculture plan that includes planting 1,000 trees and plants on the seven-acre property, building a chicken coop and a two-acre organic garden and a greenhouse that will grow vegetables for guest meals.

The seven-acre Surf Synergy property, based a mile from Jaco's surfing beach, has a pool and yoga pavilion. Its six hillside bungalows are newly renovated with hammocks, garden rainforest showers, refrigerators and chorreadors, traditional Costa Rican pour-over coffeemakers.
