Inside of the immersive world How to Train Your Dragon -- Isle of Berk, Epic Universe guests will find a family-friendly roller coaster, interactive meet-and-greets with the franchise's Hiccup and Toothless and themed dining options.

The world is set to open next year at Epic Universe, Universal's third theme park in Orlando.

Universal on Thursday released information about How to Train Your Dragon -- Isle of Berk, one of five worlds that will populate Epic Universe. Earlier this year, Universal released details about Celestial Park, a world that is a backbone for Epic Universe. It will have attractions and a hotel.

Like the other worlds in Epic Universe, guests will enter How to Train Your Dragon via a portal.

When guests step through the portal, they will be met with a vista of the rocky, hill-filled world featured in the How to Train Your Dragon films and television shows.

Prominently featured will be two, 40-foot Viking statues in a lagoon surrounded by a bustling village.

"Guests visiting Berk will encounter one of the most breathtaking environments Universal has ever created -- complete with immense architecture featuring hand-carved details, lush landscaping and extraordinary heights of rolling hills surrounding vibrant dragon houses and local establishments," Universal said.

The village will be a hub of activity. Guests might encounter dragons in their natural habitats, or sheep pretending to be Terrible Terror dragons.

The Isle of Berk, Universal said, will be "an attraction unto itself."

The world will feature four attractions.

The Untrainable Dragon show will be a "dragon-filled live spectacular," Universal said.

Hiccup's Wing Gliders is a family thrill coaster that goes up to 45 mph. Guests will fly on a winged flying machine alongside Hiccup and Toothless around the perimeter of Berk, including through the lagoon.

On Fyre Drill, featuring the Viking twins Ruffnut and Tuffnut, guests will board dragon-headed boats and use water cannons to practice putting out fires. That is, Universal pointed out, an important skill to have when dealing with dragons.

Dragon Racer's Rally will invite guests to practice aerobatic maneuvers and barrel rolls like they might experience if flying a dragon. On two "Viking-made dragon-riding trainers," riders can choose whether they have a "wild" or "mild" experience, Universal said. They will fly up to 67 feet in the air with the ability to control just how much they roll.

Younger guests will be able to enjoy the Viking Training Camp, with climbable structures, slides, an agility course and more.

The world will feature the Untrainable Dragon show, inspired by Universal Beijing Resort's "Untrainable" show.

Universal Orlando's version promises to be a "dragon-filled live spectacular," featuring Hiccup, Toothless, Gobber and Astrid. The show will include life-sized dragons flying overhead and musical numbers.

Guests can meet Hiccup and pose for a photo with Toothless at the Haddock Paddock.

Other characters from the franchise will be wandering through Berk throughout the day.

Isle of Berk dining

Hungry guests won't have to go far to find a bite at How to Train Your Dragon -- Isle of Berk.

Mead Hall, themed as the village's main gathering hall, will feature a full menu of meats, fish and sandwiches as well as meads and ciders.

At Spit Fyre Grill, which will overlook Fyre Drill, guests can grab quick-service meals that have been "flame-seared by a helpful (unseen) dragon fry cook," Universal said.

Hooligan's Grog & Gruel, a food stand, will offer quick bites.
