During the travel agency consortium's annual conference, held earlier this month at the Omni Louisville in Louisville, Ky., president John Werner announced the new division.

MAST will form a board to outline the program, including what elements will qualify agencies and suppliers to participate. The committee will also lay out the luxury program's benefits, services, goals and objectives.

In addition to the luxury program, Werner announced a new education program that will do a "deep dive" into suppliers and destinations. It also has a new cruise booking engine.

The cruise booking engine, Agent Connect, is powered by Traveltek. MAST's 1,300 agents are currently being onboarded to the booking engine.

"The Agent Connect platform is part of our growing technology offerings," Werner said. "With this program, we are providing our members a booking tool that will create efficiencies in the ever-expanding cruise segment."
