Riviera River Cruises has boosted its offerings for solo travelers, removing the single supplement on more than 500 cabins encompassing four Rhine and Rhone river cruises in August and October.
Those itineraries include:
• Rhine, Strasbourg & Heidelberg River Cruise: an eight-day journey roundtrip from Cologne that starts at $2,449.
• Rhine & Moselle River Cruise: an eight-day journey roundtrip from Cologne that starts at $2,599.
• Rhine Cruise to Switzerland: an eight-day journey between Cologne and Basel, starting at $2,399.
• Burgundy, the River Rhone & Provence River Cruise: an eight-day journey between Lyon and Avignon, starting at $1,999.
Riviera typically waives the single supplement on a select number of cabins for Europe river cruises. This promotion take that concept a step further, said Marilyn Conroy, Riviera's executive vice president of sales and marketing for North America.
"We know that demand for solo travel is increasing, and removing supplements on these departures will ensure even more travelers can experience the beauty of these waterways," Conroy said.
