Tauck has unveiled technology intended to help travel advisors boost their group sales for river cruises.
The technology, powered by destination-content platform Approach Guides, expands on Tauck's Content Experiences, which are pre-built marketing pages that advisors can co-brand and share with clients and prospective clients.
The latest feature offers a higher degree of customization, enabling advisors to add custom sales messages, group pricing and trip details for a particular sailing, including itinerary information, departure dates and pricing.
Last September, Tauck rolled out Approach Guides' advisor-focused technology for river cruises; this latest update specifically targets groups, building on what the partners already had launched.
Tauck is the first river cruise line to partner with Approach Guides, which last year expanded its technology platform to serve travel advisors. Approach Guides has partnerships with several suppliers that sell through travel advisors, including Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Explora Journeys and Big Five Tours & Expeditions.
Tauck said demand for groups has reached "unprecedented" levels in recent years, especially for river cruises, and that the right move is further investment into services that can help advisors close sales.
"Our new technology is poised to revolutionize how our valued travel advisor partners sell this hot category, allowing them to be far more efficient, deliver an elevated class of service to their clients and earn more," said Steve Spivak, vice president of global sales and reservations at Tauck.
Approach Guides co-founder and chief marketing officer Jennifer Raezer said, "After launching with our trade solution broadly in September 2023, Tauck has worked with us to adapt the underlying technology to address the unique requirements of specific categories, most notably groups. What Tauck is offering is the first of its kind. Groups-focused advisors, and those looking to expand their groups business, are going to love it."
