The Sheraton Maui is offering a unique lei to resort guests who donate a minimum of $100 to the Maui Imua Fund, which was created to support Sheraton Maui's staff and families affected by the 2023 Maui wildfires.

The lei is handcrafted by local lei artist Daniel Kincaid and is made from Burmese wood beads and polymer clay flower petals. One hundred percent of the donations go toward the fund.

"With each new day the wildfire recovery efforts on Maui reveal permanent scars that will be left on the Maui community and its beloved people," the fund website said.

"For our Sheraton Maui Ohana, the challenges of healing and rebuilding are becoming a tragic reality," it added. "Many have lost loved ones, over 90 have lost homes, and it is with deep sadness that we must report that one of our ohana has also lost his life."
