Colombia-based Avianca will resume service between Chicago O'Hare and Bogota on Oct. 27 after a five-year hiatus.

Avianca will connect the two cities daily using an Airbus A320 configured with first and economy classes.

It will be the only airline connecting Chicago directly with the Colombian capital, Cirium flight schedule data shows.

O'Hare will be Avianca's 12th U.S. destination.
